Dejamos Ir 03:22
Dejamos ir, Dejamos ir So I don’t remember just when we let go But we let go Maybe December When all those clouds rolled in for the weekend The look in your eye as you glanced at our time That had started to run out Or maybe the June gloom Just sent you running to find your own sunshine Dejamos ir, Dejamos ir Forsake your familiar to find something new Out on the horizon Dried out tongues that are no longer young Still scurry to meet you You stare at the ceiling no longer reeling With strangers and candles But falling asleep you remember we let go We let go.. Dejamos ir, Dejamos ir

I’m sorry to keep calling I know it’s probably out of place But some nights I remember The way the light would hit your face I don’t mean to be a bother Like most men, I’m just a child And I hope you’re truly happy Maybe check in every once in awhile Our love it never really started Guess I’m just alone again Forever broken hearted When I feel I’m going to cry I just simply close my eyes And I’m back where I want to be Watching you holding me Our love it never really started Hope you’re not alone tonight Forever broken hearted Broken hearted..

You’re knockin’ all them local boys down A heartbreaker in a one-horse town You light ‘em up, then leave ‘em behind A trail of tears to the county line Someday, someone Is gonna do you like you never been done And somehow, someday You’re gonna lose the one you never could play They lose their minds when you shiver and sigh A hallelujah on a Saturday night Another Chi-town suburban queen Burnin’ bridges on the local scene Someday, someone Is gonna do you like you never been done And someday, someone Is gonna win the race you never would run Now I’ve heard you’re west coast bound Through Las Vegas, you like that sound Just pick it up and leave ‘em behind Put ‘em all right out of your mind Someday, someone Is gonna do you like you never been done Someday, someone Is gonna love you like it’s never been done Gonna win you like you never been won

She walked into a crowded bar A California breeze Brown eyes and Blue Moon beers I could barely breathe Once I heard her laughing I was never the same Pretty sure I loved that girl Before I knew her name I’ve tried to let go I’ve tried to let go I’ve tried to let go Of that pain I’ve tried to let go I’ve tried to let go I’ve tried to let go Of that shame She never saw it coming She never took the call Blinded by my own desire She had none at all She wasn’t mine to fall for She wasn’t mine to keep Years will turn to decades soon I’ll still weep I’ve tried to let go I’ve tried to let go I’ve tried to let go Of that shame I’ve tried to let go I’ve tried to let go I’ve tried to let go Of that pain..

I'm Leaving 02:44
Throw me a line, I’m tired of grieving An S.O.S. for a heart still bleeding To say I’m over you would be misleading You don’t care, you don’t call I’m leaving I’ll take my old suitcase Get out of this place Don’t want to hear your voice Don’t want to see your face You don’t care, you don’t call I’m leaving Go find someone else who’s still believing You don’t care, you don’t call I’m leaving I’ll take my old toothpaste I’ll run away Won’t have to hear your voice Won’t have to see your face You don’t care, you don’t call I’m leaving You don’t care, you don’t call I’m leaving!

Autumn 03:03
When the leaves start to fall Those memories call And you’re drifting slowly back to her It’s the price you might pay In the Autumn of your days For never chasing the love And if she won’t reply To your belated goodbyes Never disturb her again Did you see a thousand lifetimes? In her eyes? Did you hear your laughing children? In her sighs? It’s the price you might pay For living day to day While the years are rolling away So, if she won’t reply To your belated goodbyes Never disturb her again..

Sleep Tight 03:23
You’re not alone I see you tonight You’re not alone My darlin’ sleep tight You’re not alone We’ll be all right You’re not alone My darlin’ sleep tight

about

The Hype:
Kelly Pardekooper returns with his 10th release AUTUMN!
Produced in Nashville by old friend and partner in vibe Teddy Morgan, the new songs also feature Pat Sansone of Wilco and The Autumn Defense on organ/piano. Kelly continues to add to his large and diverse country/folk/rock song catalog. You’ve probably already heard his songs and voice featured in Nicolas Cage films, Sons of Anarchy, True Blood, Virgin River, Longmire, Justified and 40+ other shows. An Iowa City native currently based in Las Vegas, Kelly Pardekooper writes songs and tries to treat people well!

from Kelly:
I wasn’t feeling very inspired to create new music during the first wave of Covid-19 in 2020. Didn’t touch my guitar at all that year. Then my wife took a new job and we sold our house in Indianapolis and moved cross-country to Las Vegas in early 2021. The change of scenery probably did me good. Renting a small apartment, I wrote these seven new songs while staring out the window at the mountains a lot. And it was wonderful to reconnect with my old friend Teddy Morgan and record this new music with him in Nashville. There’s something very special and unspoken that happens when working with trusted music friends. I’m grateful the songs keep coming. I just keep trying to create music that moves me. I’m still chasing these sounds I hear in my head. Still mining deeper shades of blue and affairs of the heart. Hope you enjoy my new release and THANK YOU for all your past and present support!
